This issue of Innovations continues the discussion of the role of teacher as researcher which was started in the March 2015 issue. Reggio-inspired Head Start teachers offer multiple perspectives on their experiences as their understanding of teacher-researcher evolved in collaboration with others. There is a helpful infographic detailing the connections between the Head Start program and the Reggio Emilia approach. These Head Start teachers were from Arizona, Washington, and Oregon. This issue will be of great interest for those working in Head Start programs as they implement the Reggio Emilia approach.

A second entry in the column “Perspectives from NAREA” written by Patty Randall and Lauren Curling offers their reflections on the Sixth NAREA Winter Conference in New York City. Margie Cooper also offers her view on the May 2015 U.S. Study Group in Reggio Emilia. In Margie’s article, she shares Carla Rinaldi’s opening comments, an exchange with the mayor of Reggio Emilia, Luca Vecchi, information from an identity panel of the Nilde Iotti Infant Toddler Center/Preschool, and excerpts from a meeting of the city council and parent association.
