This is the third issue in a series this year about the role of a teacher as researcher. The first article is authored by Marina Mori, an educator from Reggio Emilia, and she writes about the importance of listening as a strategy to develop relationships, especially in the beginning of school. She details how she uses listening and dialogue to develop reciprocal relationships with parents and with children.
This issue also provides continuity from previous articles centering about reflections from the May 2015 U.S. Study Group in Reggio Emilia and working in Head Start programs through additional articles and reflections from educators. The Head Start educators share about a joint research project where teachers collaborated across several states and this was presented at the National Head Start Conference. The Perspectives from NAREA column features an article by Patty Randall about the 2015 NAREA Summer Conference in Pittsburgh. She is joined by Barbara Moser and Suzanne Grove, studio coordinators, as they share their experiences leading ateliers at the conference.
*Orders of two to four copies of Innovations will be combined in the same package (one shipping charge).
