Continuing the previous issue’s focus on creativity, Filippo Chieli writes about the culture of the atelier and the importance of creating learning contexts in which children use materials as an expressive language. His article is followed by a discussion by twelve educators from Cyert Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania titled “From Then to Now: Our Twenty-Year Journey of Building an Infant-Toddler Program in DIalogue with the Reggio Emilia Approach - A Conversation Among Cyert Center Educators”. This article focused on the value of participation, a strong image of the child, the interconnection of systems and organization, and engagement with the environment and materials as important factors in the evolution of their infant-toddler program.

In the next “Voices” column, educators from Pittsburgh write about the impact of the Wonder of Learning exhibit’s presence through a reflection on the history and identity of their educational community and their community as a whole in “Finding Our Collective Values: ‘The Wonder of Learning – The Hundred Languages of Children’ Exhibit in Pittsburgh.” Patty Randall, from NAREA, and Janice Woods, from Chicago Commons share the highlights of the 2016 NAREA Winter Conference.
