This issue of Innovations focuses on communities that see reflection interconnected with learning and the possibility of transformation. As Loris Malaguzzi (1993) stated, “Our aim is to make a school that is a place of research, learning, revisiting, reconsideration, and reflection” (p. 9).

When done with others in a learning community, reflection creates opportunities to develop deeper understandings of experiences. Reflection is an important way to end the year and decade as we consider how to relaunch into the future that lies ahead.
